Owner’s guide

From preview to daily publishing.

The redesigned preview is separate from your live WordPress website.

Advertising and affiliate setup

Download the MAIS Academy earnings plugin. It adds an owner-configured affiliate resource panel below articles. It stays hidden until you enter a real affiliate link. It does not enrol you in an affiliate program.

  1. Install Site Kit by Google. Connect your own Google account and AdSense, then submit maisacademy.com for review if needed.
  2. Optionally install Ad Inserter for manual ad placements. Use Site Kit for the AdSense base script; avoid inserting that script a second time. Use either Auto ads or deliberate manual units to avoid excessive placements.
  3. Install the MAIS Academy earnings ZIP using Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Settings → MAIS Earnings: enter the resource name and your approved affiliate URL. The panel includes a disclosure and sponsored link attributes.
  4. If you prefer managing many affiliate links, assess PrettyLinks. Follow each program’s rules for redirects and tracking.
  5. Configure consent management before ads launch. For relevant European traffic, follow Google’s current certified CMP requirements. Update your privacy/cookie disclosures for the services actually activated.
  6. Verify the publisher ID, ad-unit code and ads.txt entry supplied by AdSense. Test ad loading and affiliate attribution on the public WordPress domain. Never click your own ads or ask visitors to click to support the site.

Not activated: the live-site plugins, AdSense account, ads, affiliate tracking and revenue. WordPress admin access and your approved account/link details are required. Google Ads buys advertising; Google AdSense is the publisher earning service. Revenue is not guaranteed.

WordPress installation

  1. Back up files and database; restore the backup to a staging site.
  2. Upload the MAIS Academy theme ZIP from Appearance → Themes → Add New. Activate on staging.
  3. Create Home, Services, Blog and Digital Product pages. Assign Home as the static front page and Blog as the posts page in Settings → Reading.
  4. Create the four navigation links in that order under Appearance → Menus and assign the Primary location.
  5. Install WooCommerce on staging, complete business and currency settings, and assign Digital Product as the shop page.
  6. Keep existing permalink settings and article URLs. Verify old links before switching the live theme.

Publish a blog

Posts → Add New. Add a title, article, category, excerpt, and featured image. Preview on mobile and desktop. Choose Publish, or select a future date to schedule. The Blog archive updates automatically.

Add a digital product

Products → Add New. Set the actual price; enable Virtual and Downloadable; upload the delivery file inside the product editor. Add a cover, language, format, contents, licence and refund details. Keep as Draft until payment and download delivery pass testing.

Manage prices and orders

Edit prices in the product’s General settings. Review orders in WooCommerce → Orders. Check payment status and download permissions before resending customer emails.

Launch dependencies

WordPress administrator access; staging and backup access; confirmed business country, currency and contact details; product files and prices; payment-provider account; email delivery configuration; approved policies.

Verification limits

The theme is provided for staging integration. Checkout, transactional email, protected downloads and WordPress scheduling require runtime testing in WordPress. No live-site settings have been changed.
